Great Lakes' Advantage® and Sentry console lines offer a variety of customized workstations and technical furniture systems for security, command, and laboratory environments. Furthermore, as a metal fabricator, Great Lakes' state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities allow us to create custom fabrications for unique medical environments. Critical equipment can be designed and manufactured in 6 weeks -- which is  faster than the industry standard of 8 weeks -- or shorted to only 10 working days if you use our "Fast Track" Design and Engineering Service. Below you can view a few examples of both standard and custom solutions we have provided for clients:

Medical
A drug development company uses dosage tables for the production of some medications containing radioactive materials; therefore, we designed a table made of lead shields, a lead viewing glass window, and a hood with filters to allow for negative air flow. Healthcare workers expressed the desire to be able to access their computers while working at the table, so Great Lakes developed a bracket/shelf to supports a CPU, UPS, and printer. All of the surfaces had smooth finishes to allow for easy cleaning and sterilization.
Medical Due to increased hurricane activity over the past several years, a hospital in South Carolina was required to move its data center to a safer location. Although relocated, the data center still was located in an active seismic zone; therefore, the IT manager contacted Great Lakes to provide a solution based design. The GL840EZ-3042 product proved to be just the answer as the seismic enclosures have an OSHPD Pre-Approval number varifying that the enclosure were tested for seismic zones and compliant with building codes.
MEdical

A county health department which was responsibile for providing emergency communications during emergencies or natural disasters wanted a mobile platform to house communications equipment. After understanding their specific needs, we provided them with 13 mobile workstations that were 9' tall, consisted of two post racks with shelves, self-contained (power, wifi, etc.), and ready for deployment at a moment's notice.

MEdical A university-based research hospital needed a wall mount enclosure the operating rooms to mount necessary medical equipment, but since the room contained MRI equipment, the mounts could not be metal. Since wall mounts are typically made from steel, Great Lakes designed unique mounts to suit the hospital's specific requirments made from aluminum covered with a white, smooth surface for easy sterilization.
